I Love Rusty Old Bikes!
I just love old rusty bicycles, and if you do too, you are in the right place. Here is one my wife found for me at a thrift store in Lindale Texas. It may look like junk to many of you, but I think it is cool. The NBHAA (National Bicycle History Archive of America) analyzed the bike for me, and here are the results: The Dallas Flyer line was sold by Larson Cycle Company... a private bicycle dealer who had his own headbadges made up. Which was common practice pre WWII. The frame is a camelback. It was most likely built by Cleveland Welding Company (CWC), but could be argued a Schwinn. Built year is at or before 1938-1/2. Springer Forks are Huffman Company and are 1947-1952 with stainless trusses. Front Sprocket is prewar Arnold Schwinn. Front & Rear drum brakes are Arnold Schwinn & Co. 1941 and later. Handlebar stem is special long version from Schwinn Cycle- Truck bicycle. With all that said, he called it a bouillabaisse bike (Frankenstein - something made out of all kinds of parts). To me that says one of a kind (and usually worthless). Found out it is worth a little bit parted out, but I do not plan on doing that. I will post the reincarnated bike once it is complete.
*Update 01/28/2017: The frame of this bicycle was just dropped off at the paint shop.

*Update 3/11/2017
I have it on the stand putting it back together. Adding a few new pieces, and an 80cc motor. This is going to be fun! Will post more when it is complete.
*Update 4/07/2017 1st Ride
It is complete, and is a bunch of fun to ride. I think it is super cool also.
